He knows his stuff and I agree with nearly everything he says.

Very interesting worth a listen I do wonder if those in charge of the leagues will approach his suggestions with an open mind & the same level of common sense as he displays. There are all sorts of possibilities concerning the Rocks if his ideas become reality both good & bad but all hypothetical until the FA meet to decide on next season etc which I understand will be at the end of June.

So Havant want a 3G pitch, regionalised league and more local players. It is interesting to note that it is the high spending clubs in the National South Wealdstone and Havant who are calling for the regionalised leagues. This is nothing new because at the end of the Second World War there were Emergency regionalised leagues in the Sussex County League for one season.
Paul Doswell also talks about the uncertainty. It is a given that football will return, but the big question is when. Vera Lynn was a friend of Charlie Kunz who lived at Middleton and she sung "We'll meet again, don't know where, don't know when, but I know we'll meet again some sunny day". It was a Second World War anthem and once again draws parallels with our situation now and post war Britain.
Rocks will not be immune from the financial situation but more insulated because we are used to being poor. On the plus side we would benefit too from a regionalised league but on the down side that could mean Havant trying to recruit our players and we know that after they dropped down from the National League South last time they recruited Jason Prior and Alfie Rutherford from us.
These are changing times and I still stand by what I said before that deaths will have fallen below 100 by June but by that time money and confidence will be low. I still think we will resume next season but when is another matter and you could have an October or November start and finish at the end of May or June. However it is only my opinion and all options are on the table including abandoning next season too. I don't think any decisions will be made until the deaths are down in June, fortuitously the date of the AGM. Roll on June COYR !
