I was really pleased to catch up with former Rocks Manager and player Jamie Howell for Episode 10 of On the Rocks. We talk about his early career, that magical FA Trophy run, his All-Star Soccer West Sussex club and much more!

Great interview. Jamie was the reason I started going to see the rocks. My son was one of the first to attend his All Star West Sussex football coaching academy and I was very impressed with their coaching methods and how they treated the kids. My son spent 6 years at ASWX and loved it. Having lost my interest in football when the Premier League started I had no idea who Jamie Howell was until someone told me he managed Bognor. I then thought to myself I should go and have a look at what he does at the Rocks. I went to watch my first game and liked what I saw so I have been going ever since, purchasing a season ticket the following year and every year thereafter.
It bought back great memories of the Trophy run and the visit to Grimsby. It has always been a pleasure talking to Jamie, often in the bar after the game. I hope he finds a position in football soon as he lives and breaths it. Best Wishes to him and his family.

Throughly enjoyed listening to Liam’s chat with Jamie Howell on the commute home today. I wasn’t lucky enough to see him play at the Lane as a footballer, but quite frankly as a gaffer it will take some doing & a very long time to ever match his achievements in the dugout along Dabba at BRTFC. Now as for him teaming up with Robbie Blake that is management team I would love to see this happen and work together! What a shame the recording cracked up as Jamie replied!
