I don't usually agree with Robbie Savage, however his column today in the Mirror about nonleague football makes so much sense. If people can sit so close in pubs, why in heavens name can't 450 people watch a football match outdoors where social distancing is easy. Let's hope the government are listening.

Actually, watching the snooker yesterday, it's a no brainer.

Maybe I'm a pessimist but I can see a possible big drawback with a potential health risk.
Yes it would be great to see spectators back at non league games. With everyone keeping their distance, yes, BUT looking realistically at things if that were to happen and if league clubs were not in the same situation with their fans I'm pretty sure some of these fans are likely to descend on the non league grounds to see a game, greatly increasing the anticipated gate, destroying the natural self distancing, thus giving the potential of putting everyone back into lockdown.
I certainly hope that I am incorrect and not the proclaimer of doom and gloom.
Come on you Rocks!

As far as I'm aware, at present spectators can't watch anything down to non-League 'step 7', i.e. Southern Combination Div 2 / old Sussex County Div 3.
At this rate, I can see myself seriously hopping a lower level league, like teams in the West Sussex Premier, as a stopgap. Packed lunchbags to Capel and Wisborough Green could be on the horizon!
