50- 60 Bognor fans by the bar held on until Worthing fans were leaving and beat some of our 14-16 year old fans. On There way out your officials let them go it was something out of football factory. Young lads being beaten by men It was sickly. Had to say to a couple of our youngsters to hide there scarf's so they could get out...what a show up For non league football.

Heljag last night was like something from the 70's but don't come on here pretending that Worthing were the victims because neither side covered themselves with any glory last night!! These so called victims were drunk and looking for a fight, hence 2 Worthing fans got evicted at halftime having come into the Bognor end abusing the home fans and looking for a fight. These are the same Worthing fans that also were randomly punching the Bognor fans on the way out. These are the same fans that congregated in Hawthorn Road by the co-op and started another punch up so much so that police were called. But lets not talk sbout 1 game. If you want to come on here calling out the Bognor fans, lets talk about all 3 games this season. The last home game your fans verbally abused our keeper, verbally abused the canteen staff. Physically abused Bognor fans on exiting and knocked a 60+ year old over when fleeing police. Reports also of cars being damaged on their trip to the station. Now to the 1st game; your purer than pure young fans stood at the gates at Woodside verbally abusing fans on leaving, so much so that some of your very pleasant lady fans told them to go away and grow up. And finally there is no mention of your 25/30 fans who followed the Bognor fans back to the station taunting them looking for a fight. Then they blocked the road trying to stop the Bognor fans getting onto the station. If you want to come on here slating fans get all the details rather than issues that suit you!! Like I said neither set of fans covered themselves in glory and the whole atmosphere had a toxic feel.A shame really because with their singing both sets of fans were superb. Onwards and upwards the better team won and good luck for the rest of the season.

Cityboy, just like to add to the mix that when changing ends at half time I and my 67 year old brother where verbally abused and threatened by a large contingent of young Bognor fans, some of whom where drinking and some of whom should have been at home doing school work. By my recollection 5 flares were let off in the Bognor end during the course of the game an offence for which Worthing have been rightly castigated in the past. I have on my phone a picture of one of the young yobs from last night, I don't know if he was supporting the Rebels or the Rocks but if I see him at Woodside Road supporting Worthing rest assured I will immediately report his ugly mug to the stewards. However, you are quite right, neither sets of these morons do either club any good. On the flip side I applaud both sets of true supporters for the very well observed and respected minute silence for Paul Hinshelwood prior to the kick- off.

I feel that perhaps segregation should have been set up. I can only apologise for our fans behaviour towards you. And yes Bognor fans were responsible for flared unfortunately. I thought we had stopped all that

I agree there are morons attached to both clubs. Against Horsham there was also quite a bit of very unpleasant exchanges between opposing supporters as they filed past each other at half time which could easily have resulted in violence. Very sad as I thought we had left all this behind years ago. I think the Club need to take a serious look at ways of avoiding future problems with games against local teams. There are two major flashpoints: the situation when opposing fans change ends at half time which results in them squeezing past each other allowing the idiots to push & shove etc. The other location is the exit from Seasons where I believe a safe "corridor" needs to be in place to allow supporters to exit & head to the opposite end without having to squeeze through the other supporters. This could be achieved by deploying stewards a few feet apart from each other outside the exit to guide them in the required direction. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the stewards for doing their job calmly in very difficult circumstances. I was in charge of crowd control at the Goldstone ground for a few years so speak with a little experience.

I don’t condemn football violence at all,not fighting in generally. But a lot of this is incorrect. I’m not going to tit for tat, think chunks of both sets of fans need a hard good look at themselves. Problem is when one club tries to create and cause a hatred that was never there, this was always going to happen.

I was standing in the covered part opposite the new stand in the Worthing game and I can tell you that I was pushed and shoved by both Worthing and Bognor ‘ fans’ as they changed ends so they could get behind the goals. Most of these kids were just ‘ ferral’. Put them in front of their parents and probably like little angels.....put them in a group unsupervised and they become total arseholes.
Neither group of these ‘fans’ were any better than the other , they are all rude , abusive and have no respect for anyone else. But try telling their parents that !!!
We seem to be breeding a new set of football hooligans like it was back in the 1970’s.......
What will happen is that genuine supporters will stop coming, as who wants to be around these little shits. I know what I would do with each one of them ....but apparently thats not PC. !!!

I dont often agree with heljag but he is absolutely correct in his comments about tghese ferral youths. They seem to be attracted to local derbies or big games. They never come to any other games thank goodness. Both clubs are being tarnished by them and just dont want them in the ground. They are dragging the reputation of both clubs through the gutter. Problem for the clubs is that it can prove very costly in terms of fines bans etc. Its unfortunately not just inside the ground its happening in towns and cities throughout the land. No respect for anyone or anything. They are cowards if the highest order.

Don't worry, Pete. I made the same mistake a little while back. But, with all due respect to helgaj, if you dress like a village idiot, don't be surprised if people mistake you for one. Anyway, I absolutely agree with what helgaj and you say. Bring back military national service, I say.

Two thoughts. For games which are likely to attract unruly spectators either:
1. Make them all ticket with a limit of two tickets per applicant. From my experience anyone aged under 20 is incapable of planning ahead and would therefore find themselves ticket-less, or
2. Provide no concessionary rates for these games (Category A) for youths aged above 14, meaning that most of the trouble makers would have to pay the full £12. That'll be a disincentive.
It was pretty disgraceful on Tuesday night. I, along with many others, chose to exit by walking behind Seasons to avoid the crush behind the goal. We shouldn't have to do that at this level. Thankfully Worthing will be in a different league next season.
