Well the best bit about today was sitting near to the Rocks commentary team of Peter and Peter. I for one actually enjoy watching the game and listening to the commentary simultaneously. Keep up the great service because I know it's appreciated by the supporters who can't always travel. As for the game, well we were beaten by a team on supposedly half the budget of ours. Can you imagine the excuses Jack and Robbie would come up with on those funds?

Fyfe1 Said Can you imagine the excuses Jack and Robbie would come up with... They won't simply because this is the league BRTFC are destined to survive in this for ever more. Not really any ambition ... no need - get promoted at your peril. Tried it, didn't work. God forbid the play-offs.

In all seriousness you are where Worthing were with Morty Hollis men that love there respective clubs But are Dinosaurs of the game. You are a class club good ground but a owner who is past his sale by date.and I believe You will stay that way until you get a go ahead owner who is in the grove of today not yesterday. Just a clip From a clop. ( just from a village idiot that loves Sussex football )

Heljag not often I agree but we are going nowhere fast on the pitch. A sad and sorry state for what the fans had hoped would happen this season.

Peter Helsby.... Perhaps the lottery winner hasn't come forward because of the current management? Doesn't explain how a team with half the budget of us (and probably has to compete even harder than us for players because of the number other nearby clubs) not only beats us 2-0 but plays us off the park!

I agree with fyfe1 and I am sure many other supporters will too. It is mystifying how other clubs who, on the face of it, have a smaller budget (and lower gates are not the only indicator, of course) manage to perform as well or better than us. This has been the case for several years. We have been told in the past that it is due to our geographical position that we cannot attract players etc, but other clubs in the area do not seem to have the same problem. It will be interesting to hear what the management say in the post-match interview. I offer the following suggestion in the hope of raising spirits. " In football, goals change matches. I thought we were the better team until they scored the first goal. Then I thought we played the much better football until, against the run of play, they scored again. I have told the players that they must score goals to win matches but they don't take this on board. I am going to make changes in the next 6 weeks to staff and players. There will be a new manager of the burger van and two new players from Portsmouth's kindergarten team. I would like to assure our 2 remaining supporters that the club is on a sound financial footing."

I believe we have gone backwards over the past five years since Jamie left. We have too many loan players so we aren't really building for the future. We need some players who will be sticking around & have time to develop as a team. When things are not going to plan during the match we have no impact sub's coming off the bench who can turn things around. A few years ago we'd give teams in higher leagues or the same level a run for their money in cup competitions. The best we can hope for these days is to reach the 2nd qualifying round after beating lower league opposition.

I was not referring to him personally but stating that we could do with a lottery w8nner as an investor.

Chairman who try to be managers don't Work we know first hand at Worthing. Pook name a successful side in football that a chairman who Is a manager..??

This now simply isn't good enough and the buck must stop with jack pearce. For the last 2 years the club have gone down hill. And it seems to be everything and everyone's fault apart from jack.
Off the pitch everything is fantastic from the volunteers to the ground improvements etc but on the pitch it's embarrassing. Over the last 4 years players have come and gone and the same mistakes keep happening. When will jack realise that a change in management and coach is needed. We have no plan B when plan A doesn't work. We have to many players playing out of position. And a complete lack of ambition, no way does jack want to go up and that seems very clear. He is very happy if we could be mid table with decent crowds not having to spend any money. The crowds this season have been fantastic but how long before they start dwindling off as people get fed up .
Jack has done wonders for the club over the years and everyone appreciates that massively. But if we want to move forward we need a new manager in charge. Someone like birmy. Jack is holding the club back massively now and anyone who even thinks about investing would be put off with things the way they are at the moment. Jack had all his Fa commitments and his national League stuff to. So has minimum time for bognor and that is showing unfortunately.

So just goes to show with a good manager it is achievable under poor management it is far from achievable and a bottom half finish is about as good as we can hope for.

People including myself have been saying we need a midfield player who can feed the forwards and defend. We have had a hole in the middle of the park all season and have paid the consequencies. We don't run a proper academy side to breed young players, we bring them in on loan or after being let go by other clubs. We have more teenagers than players with experience at mans football. We need to get the balance right.

It’s basically the same squad we had at start of the season and were deemed good enough, now we find ourselves 6 months in and now their deemed “ not good enough “! The question should be what’s gone wrong in those 6 months for the acceptable to be unacceptable? People saying we need a midfielder, what happened to Phil Brown ( I thought he was class) ? Who decided he ain’t what we were looking for? Who’s idea is it to play a good right back as a CM? Do we try to squeeze players in to wrong positions just so their in the starting line up?

Never mind this season we’ve needed a ‘specialist’ central midfielder since Jamie left. Interesting to see the budget mentioned because I had an eye opening conversation with well respected people from two conference south clubs who told me there are as many as half a dozen clubs in that league with a wage budget similar to ours. Add the fact that our gates are higher than more than half the sides in the conference south so to say we are underachieving is an understatement.
