The match finished about 8 hours ago and not a single fan has felt the need to put a comment on the game today. Says it all really.

Can't stand Leatherhead now.
During the so called petrol crisis they were the first team in the country to call off travelling to a midweek game (at Nyewood Lane) four minutes after the request time started. The same week our youth team were forced to travel to them for an FA Cup tie otherwise we'd have been kicked out.
Over New Year, Leatherhead poached the manager of my other non-League team, even texting him on Christmas Day telling him to turn up for an 'interview' for the vacant post. The day he joined, Leatherhead's obnoxious new director of football said on video "We finally got our man in the end".
Scum.

The match finished about 8 hours ago and not a single fan has felt the need to put a comment on the game today. Says it all really. For those that I travelled with on the train are probably nursing very sore heads this morning when they wake up. Neither side looked like scoring, until Leatherhead scoring from 20/25 yards to Amadou’s right hand side in and around the 60th minute ,who picked up an injury in the first half so May have done better who knows. Wasn’t the greatest game until the 82nd minute when we equalised through Nathan who worked tirelessly throughout the game. After a goal mouth scramble of the ball being cleared off the line twice he finally smashed the ball home. 1-1. 4 minutes later their keeper picks up the ball from a rocks attack as he goes to run off with the ball he lashes out at the rocks player giving the ref no real choice but to award a penalty. Craney steps up to make it 2-1 and sending the larger rocks following crazy. Fast forward 2 minutes later,Leatherhead are then also awarded a penalty (if you listen to jacks comment after the game) he seems to think it wasn’t and from where I was I can’t comment. 2-2 90+ Minute Leatherhead have the ball in the net again only to be ruled offside. If we had stolen the three points then we would have Leatherhead police 👮♀️ knocking on our doors but wasn’t the greatest game on a heavy pitch which obviously doesn’t suit our style. They say quite deep with about 20 to go and allowed us to play through them the Bognor way. Don’t be fooled by Leatherhead down the bottom,if they had this new guy in early doors I do think they would higher up the league. Good away following young and old.

Leatherhead's new manager Luke Tuffs is a rising star. He helped Hartley Wintney up the leagues as assistant, missed out on a Combined Counties runners-up spot as Knaphill manager during Covid and was very popular at Ashford, where he even re-decorated the changing rooms himself. A nervy but very chatty and popular lad, who's also the highest level openly gay manager in the English game. Ashford were very sad to see him go, espcially in the circumstances.

It was not a memorable game tbh, not until the last 10 or so minutes. We had about 4 players off the pace, probably because of the heavy and bobbly pitch. This was a much stronger Leatherhead side than we met in the home fixture. They proved tough opposition and didnt look a bottom of the table side. They play a very direct game which did cause us trouble. The refereeing was inconsistant and l felt their no 8 was very lucky to stay on the pitch with some of his antics. Also, if their goalkeeper was guilty of striking our player he should have been sent off. He was not firm enough and had he had taken a much firmer grip right from the start of the game l think it would have stopped all that went on afterwards.
