Have I missed any announcement the club has made over this? Littlehampton are charging £3 admission. Horsham are offering free admission for season tickets holders of League clubs. Virtually every club is doing something to try & tempt new fans to Saturdays games hoping some will get hooked. Hopefully we are just waiting until tomorrows game to let everybody know whatever the club are planning for the weekend. It’s a huge opportunity surely.

A few ideas were put on the Wotsapp group ( some great ideas actually) but nothing has been advertised kind of shocking really

You'd think being a "community club" we'd see something on NLD to say thank you to the fans that raised £60k in funds for the club during a global pandemic?
Simon, Peter? Hello......

I think its fair to say that the fans have been thanked on a number of occasions for raising that amount so I dont see that as an argument tbh. In the same way that the members of the Exec club have been thanked for funding many of the improvements at the Lane. I will also point out that since you put my name up for question, I am not on the committee, so dont get involved in such decisions. But thanks for asking.

Do we really need a committee meeting to reduce the admission price or allow season ticket holders from other clubs in for nothing? Or a burger voucher for example? Surely this must have been discussed? This is one of the biggest days in non league football. Just checked online. Virtually every club playing at home in every league is doing something. Except us it seems. Utterly bizarre.

You asked a question including putting my name on your post, ive answered it and you dont like it. I deal with facts and the fact is im not on the committee so.why ask me? Check your facts before and you wont have the problem.

Been discussing this with various people & a lot of clubs are going for half price admission. The theory is,you’d get double the crowd so no worse off, plus twice as many people buying drinks at the bar & buying food so will make money there. Plus of course many will come back. A no brainer surely?

Hardly right to ask people to check their facts when the club has been shrouded in anything by fact over the past number of years (“6 weeks” is testament to that alone)
What is fact, however, is that it’s sad to see us being shown up over something that could be so simple and very much welcomed by everybody (and more!) at a time when financial strain is effecting us all (I.e. electricity & petrol), leading to people making informed decisions to skip paying high prices for football. Particularly on a season the club have already given up on and signified that lack of intent.

I have explained that l am not a decision maker at the club. So yes, if you are going to point a finger at someone then make sure of your facts. He didnt and I am exercising my right of reply. Im not putting up with people pointing fingers at me when I have no involvement, its as simple as that.

Littlehampton charging £3 admission not bad for a team that have scored over 100 league goals this season. Plus NOTHING will get sanctioned out of the norm unless 'you know who' gives the thumbs up. He is still Mr. Bognor Regis Town FC.

Dare I say it,but we had a match last night. It was common sense to wait until today before any announcement. I hope that goes some way to appeasing the people on here who were not happy. Today lm having a happy day, as usual!😁😁

Good news the club are doing what they are doing, but why leave it so late? Other teams announced theirs last week, the group chat asked for ideas ( maybe 2 weeks ago) but glad common sense has prevailed

Today lm having a happy day, as usual!😁😁 fact is also that as of 645 last night NOTHING was in place, RR ( Radio) was told it’s up to the supporters club to sort it out (FACT) 1 person ( Russ) sorted this out by taking onboard what the fans have been saying ( FACT)

Today lm having a happy day, as usual!😁😁 "Common sense to announce it today". Sorry Pete but open your eyes. Nothing was in place and it took alot of fans questioning it and rightly so to get something in place. Not the club just doing it in the first place. It should of been announced a week or 2 ago to hype it all up. And get more interest. But if u think telling people about it 3 days before the game is common sense then I don't no what to say about how Ur thought process works.

When I turned up last night nothing was in place but I was told that ‘it was down to the supporters club’ to organise it. I had to laugh! Can you imagine Jacks reaction if the supporters club offered half price entry & all sorts of deals without him knowing. Have you ever heard anything so ridiculous? Why can’t some people just admit the club got it wrong? If it was an oversight fair enough, just say so,but please don’t come on here & blame last nights game for the error. Other clubs were sorted last week & have been advertising it all over social media.

Thankyou for sorting that out Pete In fairness, I didnt. As I tried to explain yesterday, I am not in any position to make decisions. Im the Matchday Secretary and administrator for the Exec club.

I would also add that lm not blaming last nights game at all. I was just suggesting that it may have been a reason for not announcing it until afterwards. But you make a your usual point scoring comments.

But you didn’t suggest it at all. You said it was common sense. Which comes across as it was all pre planned & you knew all about it. Which wasn’t the case. Plus what point scoring is that? Me starting this thread & actually helping get something done for Saturday. If that is point scoring I’m happy to hold my hands up.

I would have thought it was a common sense thing to do. We will differ on that point. You wish to make an argument about it you carry on. Im fed up to the teeth with it to be honest. Its my final post on this subject. If you want to continue with it you get on with it. I should think most people will be just happy that something has been arranged. If it is not what you wanted you carry on, fully reminds me of the House of Commons on here at the moment and look at the state of that. You should also get over yourself. If you think its you that has got this arranged then you are seriously misinformed.

Do you ever read other peoples posts? Or do you just deliberately make stuff up that suits your argument? Where did I say Saturday was arranged due to me? I said I started a thread which probably helped. After all,the club had two weeks to arrange something & it only happened a few hours after this thread was started. What a coincidence. Where did I say it was not what I wanted? No wonder it reminds you of the House of Commons on here. They make stuff up as they go along as well. Your earlier posts on here say you deal in facts. Try doing exactly that then.

Try doing exactly that then. Your posts are worded that its because of you in a round about way. You have posted timings on here, but of course you are good at stating you have spoken to everyone else. I accept that someone has spoken to a committee member as that is what I was told this afternoon. It now transpires that that was the prompt for something to happen. You can believe what you want. I thought it may have been because of last nights match with the announcement the following day, just my thinking, I had no idea. I was wrong in my assumption. I havnt been party to any of this but I did stick my neck out only to be shot down by you. A regular occurance over the years. You and I have crossed swords over the year and it appears we will continue to do so.

I fully applaud the club for this initiative and that they are embracing NLD. However, I feel it would have been beneficial to have decided/announced this at least 24 hours earlier so that this could have been plugged at the Merstham game. Not everyone uses social media or websites so there will still be some at last night’s game still unaware. Hopefully the news will reach everybody by word of mouth or by picking up a Bognor Observer on Thursday morning.
