I know Dan is on the forum, thank you for your time with Rocks and hope you find another club to be involved with. 💚 Hi Goldy, I don’t rarely come on here much anymore and I’m certainly not on Twitter, however I was alerted to this post by someone else so I thought I would take the time to reply. Firstly let me say I have absolutely loved my time involved with BRTFC, and to be given an insight into the workings of a semi professional football has been a very eye opening experience. Looking back now I didn’t quite realise what I was taking on when I took on the editor role back in the summer of 2017, but I have never hidden away from challenges in my life and whilst I certainly didn’t get everything right in my time in the editor chair, everything I ever wrote or produced was always done to give the club the best professional product that could be given in the time I had available to me. Almost anything that was typed or designed in that programme was typed or designed by myself, often taking up to 5-6 hours of any given day, with most programmes taking 2 and a half days to produce. That’s a lot of free time I will never get back. I walk away with my head held high and I am extremely proud of the some of the content that has featured in the programmes in my time as editor including the Dabba and Jamie interviews when they departed the Lane, the interview with Simon Cook before he decided to stay on, the conversation and write up from Doug Tuck after he reached the 300 milestone, and of course finally the very emotional edition and tribute we did for late Maurice Warner a few seasons back now. Every article in the programme that was written by me was written with passion, heart and love for a football club over 90 miles from where I live. However the football club is now moving in a different direction and with paper programmes a tough sale in 2022, who knows what the future holds. I leave wishing everyone still involved with BRTFC the best of luck. I only wish the club and those involved well and I generally hope it’s successful both on and off the pitch. It’s been very enjoyable 4 years and I loved my time involved and the people I’ve met on my journey with Bognor FC. I’m not sure what happening with me this season football wise as I think I need a break, but alas when I return I will I’m sure eventually go back to giving my own writing blog the time and dedication it deserved as It was doing really well in the days before the programme. Kind Regards Daniel
