Bognor v Wingate and Finchley

Saturday sees the Wingate and Finchley visit the Lane.
The visitors are at present the draw specialists of the league with 5 draws and 2 defeats in their campaign so far.
At the present time the Blues lie in 20th position in the league.
Last season the beat us 2.0 at theirs and held us to a 2.2 at the Lane so a tough game is expected.

Wingate and Finchley are one of the newest clubs in the league being formed in 1991 with the merger of Wingate F.C. and Finchley F.C.and Margaret Thatcher was the patron of the club

Games between the clubs are normally tight affairs and Bognor will be looking to put on a display for their fans and avenge a woeful game back in January.

Well revenge was ours !! A convincing 3-0 victory with 2 from Nathan and 1 from Isaac. In all fairness I felt it should have been more but we seemed to take our foot off the pedal when Wingate went down to 10.
Brilliant first half with 2 cracking team goals. The play and movement at times was superb. Started the 2nd half well with a third from the spot. Despite hitting the woodwork twice no further goals to celebrate😥😥. However 3 more points moves us upto 8th and on the fringe of the playoffs.
Over to Canvey next week first time for a few years looking to build on our recent good form.
