Bognor kick off their 2022/ 23 FA Trophy campaign on Saturday at home to fellow Isthmian Premier league team Bowers and Pitsea. The club were formed in 1946, and were originally called Bowers United. In 2004 the merged with a local Sunday League side Pitsea United to become Bowers and Pitsea. In 2021/22 season they made the 1st round proper of the FA Cup before losing 1-0 in a televised game at Lincoln City. Last season Bognor drew 0.0 at Bowers and lost 2.0 at home. At the present time they sit just ahove the relegation zone in 17th position with 8 points. There must be a result on Saturday with extra time and penalties should the teams be level

Good win - not a classic, I hear, but in the next round. Few pics here from Lyn and Trevor - -https://www.sussexexpress.co.uk/sport/football/15-pictures-from-bognor-regis-towns-fa-trophy-win-over-bowers-and-pitsea-3872707

Wasn’t the greatest. But I’ll take another 25 like that till the end of the season. They offered little,we never really needed second gear but into the hat we go.
Tough one Tuesday at Enfield.

Like Goldy says not a classic. However after giving away sloppy goals at Canvey more than happy with a hard fought victory, and a clean sheet. Next round on the 29th so that means we will have a rearranged game against Bishops Stortford on a Tuesday night at the Lane.

Thanks to the best stewards ever! Great job reminding the little boys from b and p 'we don't touch what isn't ours'. Thanks for looking after my flags, which are of huge sentimental value to me. Love this club.

Assuming it’s still regionalised (?) there must be a reasonable chance of us drawing another Sussex side in the next round. Five of the six Sussex clubs in Trophy action yesterday won their ties. The exception were Whitehawk who drew 1-1 away to Folkestone, only to lose 4-3 on penalties. Through with the Rocks to the next round are Burgess Hill, Hastings United, Horsham and Lewes - to be joined in the next round by Eastbourne Borough and Worthing. Whoever we play, fingers crossed for a home draw.

A well earned win with a referee that seems to think shirt pulling is perfectly OK. Could someone enlighten me as to where Leon arrived from & is he on loan etc. I've obviously missed a post with the information. He certainly adds energy & ability to the midfield.

Agree about the shirt pulling which is becoming more prevelant inthe game.
Leon is currently on loan from Havant presumably to cover injuries to key players.

Would love to see a typical Bowers and Pitsea training session - 30 minutes of pushing, 30 minutes of shirt pulling, a little bit of referee whinging and then to finish with some aimless passing. Thought they looked very poor. How the referee didn't penalise a single shirt pull is mind boggling. The booking for Josh taking the throw in 2 yards from where it should be was laughable as not two minutes late B&P player took one at least 10-15 yards from where it went out and no suggestion of even bringing it back.
Agree with comment on Leon. Really like his energy in the middle and mopping stuff up. Does anyone have an update on the injuries?
