Bognor look to bounce back from their disappointing defeat at Cheshunt next Saturday as they welcome Kingstonian to the MKM Arena.
Kingstonian are one of the older clubs in the league originating back in 1885. A club that over the years have played under 5 different names, originally formed as Kingston and Surbiton YMCA, due to mergers and various others reasons they have also been called Saxons FC, Kingston on Thames AFC and Old Kingstonians. After the 1st World War the in 1010 the took the name of Kingstonian, which The K's have held since.
The club has a great history having won the Surrey cup 13 times plus numerous other trophies. They have reached the high esteem of National League football, and have numerous times graced at least the 1st round proper of the FA Cup.
Having just escaped relegation by one place last season thanks to a good end of season run, they at the present time sit in 18th place with 4 pts from their 6 games played. Last season Bognor and Kingstonian finished off 2-2 at their ground and Kingstonian had a 1.0 win at the lane!

I’m not much of a historian but I thought the First World War was more recent than 1010!

Good luck to Rocks this afternoon. Could do with a win before all talk of play-offs/promotion becomes a distant memory.
Bognor Regis Town FC gets a mention in today's Sun newspaper. A nice little article on Robbie and his stunning goal for Burnley against Man Utd, their first ever in the Premier League in August 2009, a game they won 1-0. A fantastic photo of Robbie which I'm sure he treasures.
