I dont even know where to start. You know its a weird game when their keeper making one world class save and another decent one late stopped calvin from having a hat-trick of 30 yarders ๐
Joking aside and obviously being 3 up in 11 minutes you think a game is over, that was a big moment for me. If we came out of there with anything less than 3 points it could have absolutely destroyed morale but now you just have to laugh and move forward to Tuesday. Jaspers penalty prob highlight for me, i was bricking it, then before hes even touched the ball he had the keeper on the floor - was nice and chill.

Wow, just wow!!!! Just got home after an eventful day in deepest Essex. What to say, the first 15 minutes were some of the best football I have seen from a Bognor team for many years. Straight out of the blocks Hashtag didn't know what had hit them for 15 minutes. 3 up in 11 minutes with Lucas and Isaac having a field day out wide, while Gifford was the fox in the box with 2 goals. Then somebody pushed the off switch. The team went to sleep, starting forcing passes that didn't exist and giving possession away. Hashtag pulled 2 goals back and Bognor were on the backfoot in a game they were dominating. A great long shot from Calvin put Bognor back in charge at 4.2 at the break. 2nd half the cardinal sin, concede an early goal and on the back foot again as Hashtag pushed for an equaliser. A silly foul on the hard working Mather gets a penalty which Mather then coolly slots home, back in control at 5.3 with 20 minutes to go. To their credit Hashtag kept plugging away, and a worldy 4th goal for the hosts left Bognor hanging for the last 5 minutes. Many relieved fans in the ground at the final whistle but overall Bognor just deserved the victory. This victory lifts Bognor upto 7th place in the league, just outside the playoff positions. Tuesday's game against Wingate and Finchley who sit in 4th place is now huge as the team attempt to maintain their unbeaten home record and continue to climb up the table. Let's get your friends down to the Lane to swell the crowds and make the 12th man as we hopefully roar on the Rocks to another victory!!! COYR's !!

Again not much more to be added.
Very rarely is a game plan of football executed perfectly for 90 minutes. Both managers will be frustrated on the goals but for different reasons. But the first 15 minutes from us was superb and thatโs where the damage was done.
Old Rocks probably end up drawing that today, and shows how pivotal even at this level it is having a squad of players that can play in various positions on the pitch but also change the way the game is going.
Well done to the team and the fans for making the long cold away day.
Onto the next Wingate and Finchley.
