Has Elijah Anuoluwapo Oluwaferanmi Oluwatomi Oluwalana Ayomikulehin Adebayo, to give his full name, become the first former Rocks player to score a hat-trick in League football?
Must be the first in the top flight of English football. Andy Woon might have done it for Brentford in a lower division but I can't be sure.

Andy Woon scored a hat trick on his debut for Brentford on February 10th 1973 against Port Vale in the old Division 3, they were the only goals he scored in that season and they were relegated. In the following season he was their top scorer with 7 goals and in 74/75 he scored twice before leaving to join Maidstone Utd. In total he played 50 games for the Bees and scored 12 goals.
Happy days, I remember them well. he was a a bit of a hero around The Lane.

Always good to see players that have had stints with us or even at that this level go and smash it higher up the leagues. He was also playing against an Ex Rock in Lewis Dunk last night.

Speaking of Adebayo hat-tricks, you might remember he scored a treble for the Rocks away at Canvey Island during his loan spell with the club in 2016/17 season. But he also did likewise against us for Slough in the FA Trophy a few months earlier. Quite probably the only case of a player to score a hat-trick for and against us in the same season.

According to an inflation calculator that’s worth around just over 15k in today’s money. Any idea where Andy is these days? Have occasionally seen his brother (another ex Rock) about.
