After all the praise on the team since their last defeat on New Year's Day the lack lustre team has slipped back to haunt us!!! You can say that injuries have been unkind to the team with numerous players being patched up; however that doesn't excuse poor defending and decision making. Too many times this season in games the team should have won, their approach has been wrong. In fairness to Kingstonian could have won by more, having missed a penalty. As for Bognor they need to get their game back together or the faint chance of the playoffs will be gone. Credit to the Bognor fans who travelled in numbers yesterday and tried their hardest to motivate the team. Let's hope a good atmosphere at the MKM Arena for the next 2 games can kick-start the teams push again.

I definetley understand people being frustrated but its just football, it'll kick you in the balls at any moment and a lot of things lined up for it to go that poorly yesterday. One thing I would disagree with anyone on was any idea that the team didnt show up or lacked an appetite for it - the desire was so clearly there and effort. Kingstonian to their credit defended with absolute commitment throwing bodies on the line and had an official who certainly didnt seem mildly interested in punishing any holding or pushing, he was just terrible. At the back we just looked leggy and tired, I think craig and spencer are playing through knocks. The only thing I felt we didnt adjust too was playing on that pudding of a pitch we were still trying to play accurate passes in our third when you couldnt have guessed what the ball was going to do! Ryan hasnt has his best game but he was also served about 20 s*** sandwiches 😂
I was happy with the desire they all showed on a day when all the little things just didnt line up right. If you'd have asked me to take this position at this point of the season at the start of the year I'd have snapped your hand off - its just such a tough league with multiple clubs investing large sums of money. We have to play most the guys we need to catch and have very few midweek games left which should help a pretty battered group after months of Saturday - Tuesdays it feels like! If theres something in the 'we play better against better teams' awesome, our run in is almost 100% against the top 10-12, key to our season might be how Lucas gets on with his scan 🥳 I will say the real bright performance for me was Jasper, his first touch and direct running caused them so many problems. We go again #coyr

Agree with all comments so far but would like to add that we seem to find it difficult to adjust our game to suit the circumstances. Both the Kingstonian and Littlehampton pitches were heavy and rough. The opposition played long balls and won. We laboured by trying to play on the ground possession football (with numerous resulting passing errors) and lost. (Remember the Ks are rock bottom and Littlehampton are lower league). We were so slow going forward at times yesterday giving the Ks plenty of time to organise their defence. The players gave their all, as usual, but the game plan didn't help them. Other teams appear to do their homework on the Rocks more than we do on them. At least that's the impression I get.
