The 1960 match would be the one where Knocker Norris scored a hatrick whilst hobbling around with an injured leg?
I remember that Dorking match 25 years ago, notable for the fact we were guaranteed safety from relegation and also David Poole’s last goal for Bognor, slotting home with a large dust cloud from the pitch swarming into our faces behind the goal as a result, causing much coughing and spluttering amongst the support. Dorking were on the verge of going bust although they eventually managed to soldier on (before eventually dissolving a few years ago). The Meadowbank ground - now home to Dorking Wanderers - looks considerably different nowadays!

I remember ringing the Isthmian League Clubcall line from a phone box at university to get the result of that Dorking match. Relegation that year would have been disastrous, especially in the context of the season that followed.
