The first league game is fast approaching but I haven't seen any information on entry into the ground. If it's limited capacity it will obviously be season ticket holders then who? Supporters Club members? First come, first served? With our capacity we'd get our average gate comfortably in the ground I believe? Does anyone have the full information regarding this. I realise things can change by the day.

Our first three league games are away with our first home game still a month from now (3rd Oct).
Things change so rapidly with both the infection rate and the government's policy that I guess it's sensible not to make any announcements too early as they are likely to change. It probably makes sense to see how other clubs handle the first couple of games and then we would still be able to adjust as necessary a couple of weeks from now.
Admittedly it's very frustrating for everyone but I think it's a case of being patient to see how things pan out both in the community and also at non-league football grounds.

Ahh ok. Thanks for the update. I’ve been busy with my sons wedding. Didn’t realise Bishop Stortford had been switched. Do we know how to get tickets for that away game yet if we fancy going?

As Bishop's Stortford only have one home friendly between now and 19th September, that being on Saturday 12th v Chelmsford, I would assume the details will be similar to those detailed here: www.bsfc.co.uk/club-news/chelmsford-tickets-on-sale-now/. Although that might change if 600 people claim tickets and then nobody turns up.

The interesting thing about Bishop's Stortford is that they have tenants in a lower division whose capacity at the same ground is reduced in line with the level they play in.

Just to clarify as things stand? I’m booked on the coach next week so at the moment it’s still going ahead? What about tickets for the game? Do we need to buy them in advance from Bishops Stortford or just turn up? I’ve left it this late to ask because the ‘COVID rules’ seem to change by the day. I’ve booked in advance for the first home game so I’m set up with an account.

Felpham, things have not changed with regards to football up to now. I would contact Dave Robinson who runs the coach and see if they have booked any tickets so far. You are right. It is a very fluid situation and lets hope this situation doesnt get any worse than it is now.

Whilst I think our club have got the balance between risk and common sense pretty much spot on, having had a look around one or two other clubs’ arrangements, I think we’ll encounter a variety of restrictions on our travels this season that might take a bit of getting used to. Lewes, for example, appear to have divided their ground into three sections, only two of which are for spectators. Fans can stand behind the goal one half, but not the opposite goal in the second half, the bar is divided into two so that spectators from opposite sides of the ground cannot meet and you may be requested to wear a mask in the (open air) main stand. Given that this is a world away from the usual experience (which I think Bognor have done their very best to maintain), I think it’ll pay to do a little bit of homework before away matches as I sense each club is going to have a different interpretation of the right thing to do.
