Continuing the trend of visiting airports. Stansted (Bishops Stortford), Gatwick (South Park) and now Hayes and Yeading (Heathrow). Only need Luton for a full house of London airports. Will we ever have a home match to christian our new stand?

There's also London Southend Airport. As fate would have it, my hometown club are ten miles away from there tomorrow, at Hullbridge Sports in the Trophy.

Within walking distance Eddie! I fancy a groundhop that day instead, to be honest! I only hope we do better than the last time we played a Hayes team in the FA Cup in 2002. I wasn't there, but we lost 6-0 at the old Hayes and I vividly remember from accounts I read that supporters were livid that some of our team were laughing and joking in their clubhouse after the defeat.

We also took on Yeading at home in the fourth qualifying round two seasons later, disappointingly losing 2-0 albeit to a very good side who of course went on to play Newcastle in the third round.

Don't remind me! The 'legend' of goalkeeper Mark Torcaso. I can still see that shot trickling between his legs for one of their goals.

Is this a mistake on the Horsham website? Or are they playing Havant at the Nye Camp on Saturday?

The game is being played at the Nye Camp, due to H&W being unable to host it at Westleigh Park as the new 3G surface isn’t ready. But as H&W are hosts it is being played behind closed doors, due to their National League South status.

According to their website, the H&W v Horsham cup tie is a behind closed doors match at The Nye Camp on Sunday, October 4th.

No disrespect at all to either of the clubs, but what a shame that the first game to be played in front of our new stand will be a game that we are not involved in.

You've taken the words out of my mouth Peter. It's a sad and annoying fact but that's what good neighbours are for. I guess it does have some consolation as no doubt there will be some form of financial reward for Rock's kitty!
