After Saturdays 2nd half debacle a great response from the team Thought first half was the best we have played this season. 2nd half we sat back too deep and allowed Carshalton to come more into the game. Good saves by Amadeau late on and a solid defensive display ensured we took the points. Overall a much better team display; lose as a team and win as a team!! How good was it under the new lights and infront of the new stand. Just buzzing for Saturday now.

Thought the whole team did well to play the game and not the occasion last night New formation? New style of pressing or non pressing. I loved it. Everything we never really are, slowed the game down where needed. Two superbly taken goals. Amadou with some great saves when called upon. Very hard to call a motm, but how good does that sound for a change. If we can turn the mixed results into a more positive then negative then happy days. A good evenings work.
Up The Rocks.

Not sure about Saturday as didn't go but we looked so much better last night with 4 at the back than the Horsham game. Last Tuesday looked so disjointed with 3 centre backs. I thought the team played well all around with a few little blips along the way but an entertaining game. Dowdridge's goal was really good.
The new stand is going to drive me nuts - only because its off set from centre a bit (probably just me). Pitch looked in really great condition as well - grass looked just the right length!!
Great to be back at the lane for a game.
PS - could the PA on the Hawthorn Road side be turned down a bit, it was quite booming last night?

The new stand is going to drive me nuts - only because its off set from centre a bit (probably just me). Maybe the club could shift the pitch? :-D On a slightly more serious note, I take it the dugouts are below pitch level, like the ones below the old main stand, to give a clear view for people in the green seats? Has the new stand got a name, by the way? Very early days to ask but I thought I would anyway. Fine result, and performance by the sound of it, against an established club we don't always do well against. High fives (okay, elbow pumps) all round!

PS - could the PA on the Hawthorn Road side be turned down a bit, it was quite booming last night? Apologies it will be. The old system has been re-instated until the new system is installed, but since it is just a temporary measure, it has not been balanced, so it is louder at the clubhouse end than the scoreboard end. The volume will be reduced until the new system is installed.

A good all round team effort on Tuesday and a great response from that nightmare second half last Saturday. It was nice to see the new formation click together and players working hard for each other. They are no slouches arent Carshalton and someone alluded to our poor record against them. Well, that was put to bed and it was a fine win to christen our new stand. They made a remarkable substitution bringing on the number nine and it had an astonishing effect with evrrything going through him for the last 10 minutes. Im pleased he was on the bench for all but that remaining 10.
Cant seewhat the fuss is about the new stand!!! The view of the pitch and the game wasexcellent and we now have a stand to be proud of. More to come with the cover going up at the clubhouse end this next couple if weeks!😄

A superb result, and very hard to chose man of the match as I thought the whole team were excellent. No doubt about it, I strongly suspect that Carshalton will be there or thereabouts at the end of the season, defintely in the play offs, and going into the game, I would have taken a draw, seeing they done the double over us last season. To come away with 3 point's was exceptional, and the 1st half was the best we have played this season I thought. 2nd half I felt we sat back a bit, & it was a bit hairy at the end when they hit our crossbar, but in the end I felt we deserved it. On top of that, I won the £70, for the 1st goal scored, so a wonderful evening. Worthing lost 2, so now onto Cheshunt, will not be easy, as they are playing well. However I am feeling confident, so roll on Saturday. COYR
