A poor performance from The Rocks who appeared to lack conviction and failed to make Cheshunt's keeper make a save. The worst thing about the game was that Cheshunt weren't very good yet fully deserved their win. Although we started with the same eleven that defeated Carshalton on Tuesday night we looked a shadow of that side and never seemed to get going. It wouldn't be difficult to name 4 or 5 players that don't seem up to the level we require if we want to get anywhere near the top six, but I don't really feel it's helpful to criticise individuals. Hopefully Robbie and Jack can find two or three players for somewhere which will strengthen us.
In my opinion we didn't play too bad when losing at Haringey, and when we got thrashed at Hayes & Yeading we were actually the better side in the first half, but at Cheshunt we were weak and never looked liked winning in what for me was our worst performance of the season. A disappointing day, one to forget about quickly and hope it's just a blip. But unless we add a bit more quality to our squad it could be a difficult season ahead.
But to finish on an upbeat note, it was great to once again be watching live football in a safe environment that was well organised with good social distancing being observed. Green Army!

A very disappointing result again. It seems we have a problem with consistancy. We know the players can do it, they proved it last Tuesday. If this isnt ironed out it will cost us this season

Now the dust has settled let's take stock. Forget the cup disaster,we've lost two away games narrowly in the league to teams who appear to be challengers this season. We've got a young team who are still virtual strangers. I saw enough in the games at Horsham & Stortford to offer optimism moving forward. I'd be happy to be mid table moving towards Xmas fully expecting a strong second half of the season as the players gel & one or two additions get added. It's vital we win our home games to keep in the 'mix' though so three points Saturday would set us up nicely.

It's a realistic aim in what is a season of upheaval that may yet be interrupted if we have some kind of national circuit breaker lockdown introduced. We've improved our facilities and are currently having the cover behind the goal also constructed. We are certainly moving in the right direction, taking a long term view by investing in infrastructure. We have a a few weak areas in our squad that will prevent us from being competitive with the top sides, but the good news is that it should only take a 2 or 3 signings to alter that. The Carshalton game at the NyeCamp was very encouraging, the game at Cheshunt wasn't. Fingers crossed that's it's a performance like the former on Saturday afternoon. In this miserable and frustrating global situation we find ourselves in, I'm certainly looking forward to once again watching some outdoor entertainment and meet friends in a safe environment. #GreenArmy

Good constructive posts above. We are a young side and on the right day we can beat any team in this league. But consistancy will be the key. I hope there is a good turn out on Saturday to getbehind the team and that they respond with a rousing performance.
There are so many positive things going on at the club with all the improvements and backing by sponsors, we just need the side to hit a successful run and we could be in for a really positive season. Lets make it happen!.
