Yet again another excellent team performance To have a promotion shout you have to make your home venue a fortress; and in the last 3 games we have done just that!! A great team effort from everyone on the pitch which really could have seen us score more. People might say that Margate were poor; personally I feel in our home games we are asserting ourselves so much and are making the opposition look poor. Great to see Bradley looking more his old self; but to me the team performance was more important. And another clean sheet to add to the performance. Great crowd and atmosphere and how good is the seasons stand going to look when finished? Overall positives a round; roll on next week

A very enjoyable first half; second half we should have had another two or three. Won't comment on whether their keeper jumped the gun for the penalty. Some great performances including Brad and Harvey, but MOTM for me by a country mile was Joe Cook. The team is now starting to gel really well and work for each other. Looking promising for the rest of the season

Fyfe1, you rotter, I was just about to post that for me Joe Cook was the MOTM. Brad seems to have got his mojo back and scored 2 super goals and should have had another, but Joe Cook was a class above every other player on the pitch, cool and clearing under pressure - best performance I have seen in a long while from a defender at the Lane. I do enjoy watching our skilled, and sometimes mercurial, young Rocks footballers overcome some of these old grunt and bash teams in our division, no matter what the result. Anyway, how did we only score 2 goals being so dominant? The only attack on our goal was from a corner which Adamou palmed over. Explanation please (and plaudits by the way) Mr Blake?

From minute 1 we was on it today. Was said elsewhere on twitter I believe play the game not the occasion and the players should be very proud of themselves. Big mention to Harvey on what must have been very tough. Led like a true captain yesterday. Great to see Brad be Brad, and with a smile on his face. To many mentions could be said, but I agree Joe Cook was my MOTM but great to be having this chat who it should have been.
Also big mention to Richard on the tannoy reading the tributes. Could hear in your voice it was going but you held it together and did everyone proud. 💚
Good atmosphere, good team performance with 3 points and another clean sheet.
Proud to be a Rock this weekend.

100% echo Goldy's sentiment's there. I have never seen a game, where we were SO dominant from the off. Confidence in abudance, great attitude & Harvey being Harvey, what a leader that guy is. Captain & a complete legend & represent's what Bognor Regis Town FC is all about. Your Dad would be proud of you buddy. I can easily see why Brad was given MOTM with 2 superb strike's, especially the 1st which was a complete wonder goal & will do his confidence no end of good. Had he been on the pitch for the penalty, I have no doubt he would have wanted to have taken it for the match ball. However like everyone else. Joe Cook today for me, made it look effortless, easy & has to be the 1st name on the team sheet in every game we play. Big mention to Sam Dowridge to, who I think is coming on leaps and bounds The lane is now becoming a fortress, & as I mentioned last week, we just now have to replicate that on the road. However 2 away game's in November & 4 at home. Man management & squad rotation I feel is vital now, as the game's will be coming thick & fast, although not a league game until the 7th Nov against Potter's Bar away. Season's looking superb to. The day was all about remembering Maurice Warner, Bernie Gumbrell, Dallas Whyte, Tony Baker, Graham Macintosh and Peter Kent. The service that each of these generous and kind people gave to the club, and the happy memories that they've left us with. They all helped our club become what we are and what we are able to enjoy today. I knew each of them well and consider myself fortunate to have spent many hours in their company. They were all passionate supporters of The Rocks and were key to the ethos and growth of our wonderful club.
Our performance against Margate was solid and entertaining. Similar to our win against East Thurrock last week, our performance needs to be measured against the strength of our opponents. Margate look although they may well struggle this season in the lower reaches of the table, but nonetheless we won at a canter and produced some very entertaining football. And banked three important points.
Joe Cook has rightly been mentioned as a possible man of the match, but equally 18 year old Ethan Robb looked extremely comfortable alongside him. Bearing in mind that Ethan played at Pompey as a defensive midfielder, he certainly looks good in defence alongside Joe. Jake Flanagan and Tommy Cooney looked solid at full-back and it's reassuring to also know that Calvin Davies is now once again available for selection.
It's interesting that the three teams we have lost against this season (Haringey, Hayes & Yeading, Cheshunt) are all having very strong starts to the season. Therefore when measured against their results I feel our overall start to the season has been relatively decent.
Our players are beginning to understand each others strengths and weaknesses, and look as though they are enjoying their football and their surroundings. Bradley Lethbridge looked strong down our left and took both his goals superbly. He's clearly working hard to return to full fitness and looks to have increased his stamina levels in recent weeks. With a bit more conditioning he could consistently be a top player at this level.
It was great to see so many familiar faces once again at the Lane and also the fans appreciating the shelter and comfort of the new main stand which provides such a magnificent uninterrupted view. The success of the supporters crowd fund raising efforts has been spectacularly rewarded with the arrival of the new stand, and it feels like a massive bonus to also see the construction of the covered stand in front of the clubhouse. Once again, well done to all those who have work so hard on the project and also to the many supporters that donated whatever they could.
It's a strange time that we're currently living through, but with only seven games played I already consider this season a complete success. Following the ground improvements I'll accept any achievements made on the field as a welcome bonus.
#GreenArmy
p.s. Well done to the Rocks fans making all the noise behind our goal who were once again superb, - and also the two girls from Margate with their drum who deserve a special mention!

Thanks Goldy, there are some announcements I never want to make and reading out a list of so many friends was hard. As you know I went to your grandads funeral, Mo I couldn't bring myself to talk about until a tribute from one of his relatives on facebook. Then there was Bernie and Peter Kent, the latter I only found out about when I was handed the list. Finally there was Dallas. His son Harvey was on the pitch Captaining the side. Somehow God gave Dallas the pride of seeing his son lift the Sussex Senior Cup, he must have died a happy man and that made it even more emotional. Graham Mac wasn't on the list, but Jack asked for him to be included and his name was read out after the minute's silence. I think Graham had a minute's silence before lockdown, but I miss Mac terribly too. It hasn't been as emotional since I had to read out Jasmine Elkasmy's name, God bless her. Before then we had several fans pass away including Maureen and Ken's Karen in the Spring of one year. I think Harve played for his dad yesterday and I could see it in his play. Brad made it a special day with 2 special goals, both netblasters with so much POWER that had me jumping out of my seat. Otherwise the new stand in front of Seasons is coming along and we could have done with a cover over it yesterday. The club is looking good though and I hope some of those mentioned yesterday are celebrated with their names on the back of the new stand.
