Not the draw we would have chosen, thats for sure. We will see how the result pans out tonight and then negociate the date for the tie to be played. Watch this space for news on that.

If we win that match, we at least get a home draw in the 3rd round against either Gloucester City, Needham Market or Leiston.
The down side is that the game has to be played on December 19th according to the FA website!

At the moment until we know who is through we cant say. But either club would be good on Saturday because it would mean that we woukdnt have to travel midweek.

I was told by Simon last night that, if we drew a team from outside the National League divisions, we would try and get the game played at the weekend if the other team agreed, the reason being that National League clubs are otherwise engaged with league matches on Saturdays so any tie against one of them would have to be midweek.

A journey to Maldon & Tiptree it is then!
After 90 mins: Enfield Town 2 Maldon & Tiptree 2 Maldon score a last gasp equaliser to send the tie to penalties. Maldon & Tiptree win on 4-3 penalties
Let's hope they can arrange the game for Saturday afternoon.

The irony... this weekend the club had arranged to make our longest journey of the season to Brightlingsea Regent which then got postponed by the 'Trident Leagues' delaying the re-start and, thanks to a 93rd minute equaliser and a win on penalties, we're almost going as far anyway on Saturday or next midweek!
