Just to let the fans know that the supporters club will be running a coach to this game. As soon as I have the match arrangements I will phone around to get numbers and advertise the details.

Maldon & Tiptree would most likely have won promotion had last season not been brought to a premature end. They seem to be carrying on from where they left off and will be as good as any side - if not better - than any side we’ll face in the Premier this season. A tough test awaits, but one to look forward to.

They made the first round proper of the FA Cup this season, losing 1-0 at home to League 2 Morecambe last month; the visitors scoring a 46th minute penalty. The match stats suggest Morecambe had the lions share of possession and managed far more attempts on goal; given they only scored once (from the spot), it would seem Maldon know how to defend. We'll need to take our shooting boots with us! COYR!!!

Just to clear up the date situation, as Match Secretary, I contacted their Secretary after their win last night. I broached the subject quite obviously hoping for this Saturday. He had already discussed it with his manager who had been adamant about playing on Tuesday. The situation is quite simple, if both agreed to play on Saturday the FA would have agreed to it. If the clubs cant agree then it is played either on Tuesday or Wednesday next week. Their home day for midweek games is Tuesday so that where we are with it.

Nice try, Pete. I realise you did your best. Obviously they're hoping a long midweek trip after work will exhaust our lads.

Been advised that as the crowd limit is only 400 fans should pre book tickets. Those travelling on the coach have their tickets reserved. Pay cash on the night

Sorry Dave, I must correct this.
The numbers on the coach must be submitted to me by 5-00pm on Sunday with a list of names of those on the coach. On arrival, pay at the gate and inform the gatekeeper your name at the same time.
For those supporters planning to go by their own means,it will be your responsibility to be at the gound to gain enrty by cash only when the gates open at 6-15pm. THERE ARE NO FACILITIES FOR PRE BOOKING TICKETS. The crowd limit is 400 maximum.

It might be an idea for anyone who played in or went to the Trophy match midweek gets tested if you can... today's tie against Gloucetser City was called off due to a positive COVID-19 result in the Maldon & Tiptree squad.

I see Maldon lost the rearranged fixture 7-1, with visitors Gloucester City scoring all eight goals.
