Getting worse before it gets better. Tier 4 for The Rocks on Boxing Day (I'm already in it!).

I think we can reasonably conclude that will indeed be the end of that. The Health Sec was quoted the other day saying that the Tiered system will stay in place until all the vulnerable had been vaccinated and that, with the best will in the world, is months away. See you in August!

See you in August! Alas, I think you are correct. Hopefully when the vaccine roll-out gets going and social isolation can be relaxed (April/May?), then maybe we can have a whole series of friendlies with local sides. This could at least give us a few weeks of fixtures and help us prepare for the new season.

Unfortunately, I have to agree. This new tier 4 is going to be in place for some considerable time and I cant see it being lifted even if there is a massive drop in new cases and that isn't going to happen any time soon. Its down to the population themselves. Did anyone else see the crowds in Manchester for the Boxing Day sales. Total and utter madness and I think it was the same all over. Crowds of people walking close to others, many not wearing masks. What chance has the country got of ridding itself if people are not going to do as they are being asked to do? This season is going to be either written off or completely restructured.

Yes Peter, from my front room window I could see relatives staying 2 houses up the road, all day vistors over the road and next door to them they were away for the duration. My son came over with his toddler and we stood outside for 10 minutes. There's hell of a lot of selfish b*st*rds about who just couldn't give a f**k.
All the time these Prima Donna footballers who think they are "invincible" kiss and cuddle when a goal is scored it's no wonder it spreads around the clubs. It should all be curtailed immediately.

Very true Dave. Only next door to me they had visitors and a relative staying. It was happening all over. My daughter, husband and little one came no where near. It makes you wonder. 6 deaths on Xmas day in QA hospital and there are more daily numbers at their highest rate and rising in Portsmouth. Thanks to all these selfish people I can only see another full lockdown until the spring.

And I imagine the Spring will be when all those thick, ignorant, British backpackers in Australia return home and spread the virus all around the country again.
