The first half was very good. We looked good against the team expected to lead the race in National South. Dorking scored after we lost possession half way inside our own half by dwelling on the ball too long. A habit we seem to have continued from previous seasons. A good move and a clinical finish for the second game running by young trialist, Nathan. This lad has a lot to learn at this level but you can see a seriously good player in his play and with Rob passing on his immense experience, I can see another Prior in him. The second half was disjointed because of the many changes we made in order to assess the players on the bench. Dorking doing the same thing and it didnt take long before Alfie ghosted in to head a good goal for them. Unfortunately, the same mistake cost us a third goal by again giving the ball away in the same area of the pitch to make it 3-1 to the visitors. One worry was the injury to Joe Cook and of course a really bad collision that knocked out young Tommy Farr. Lets hope both have a speedy recovery.
We look to have got a strong and talented squad together and management will now have to make some agonising decisions of who will remain for the start of the season. Lets hope for a full and successful season that will not be disrupted by this awful disease.

I agree with Pete - very largely. Difficult to judge how we stand at this pre-season stage but from what I have seen it seems we have an embarrassment of riches in defence but lacking somewhat in mid-field and attack. I think the management have already hinted at this. It will be interesting then to see what squad of 18 or so players we end up with. Let's hope the season is not disrupted by any more illogical or unnecessary Government regulations.

Downside to playing teams from leagues above they normally capitalise on mistakes and that’s what Dorking done.
Agreed with Robbie interview lots of good came from the game. We was still creating chances. Personally think we’ve got a good season ahead us.
