Bognor make their first trip of the season when they travel to Essex to face their fellow Rocks, East Thurrock Utd. In the past this has been a bogey ground for Bognor, lets hope this changes in this game. For people travelling bare in mind their are major road works on the A13 the other side of the crossing. Listening to the game on the radio, and to Robies interview which confirmed my thoughts, poor defending cost us today. After conceeding two early first half goals, to get back to 2.2 and a point might seem like a victory, and although we didn't lose at the final whistle msny of the spectators, although happy to have got back in the game will see this as 2 points lost. Onto Haringay next week, here's hoping we start off where we finished this game and can secure our first victory of the season!!

In the end we probably are disappointed we didnt bring all three points home. However, not playing well and far too many mistakes at the back, the scrambled goal in stoppage time of the 1st half gave us s9mething to build on. Angry words at half time (could be heard in the clubhouse!), the team came out in a different frame of mind and for most of the half they put the home side under pressure. Some resolute defending with their keeper very prominent. We found the equaliser and with a bit more luck, could have won.
We look forward to a home draw in the FA Cup and a difficult game next Saturday.
