Due the fuel shortage Tuesday nights game v Leatherhead has been cancelled. Personally I don't see how such a short journey can have such a drastic affect on peoples fuel supply? My thoughts that after a 7.0 drubbing at the weekend any excuse will do🤔🤔🤔 One very frustrated fan tonight😡😡

Do all their players live in Leatherhead? Unlikely - there are probably some that have considerably longer distances to travel. A bit like our own goalkeeper!

Off the top of my head, I'm aware that we have three players that travel from London and one from Dorset. Looking online it appears that there are plenty of midweek non-league games that have also been postponed.
Added to which, a 300 mile return journey to Brightlingsea Regent this weekend isn't ideal.

I can fully understand the reasoning behind this.As someone has stated clubs at this level have players travelling from all over, some long distances. Do we really want to play roulette as to who will turn up and who wont. We are not long into the season and have many free dates for rearrangements. It makes sense to me but totally accept its not ideal.

Herne Bay v Ramsgate has also been called off on Tuesday.... a round trip of 25 miles.

Herne Bay v Ramsgate has also been called off on Tuesday.... a round trip of 25 miles. But it's likely that both sides have players who probably have round journeys of 100+ miles. Just as we do.

Yes, Leatherhead lost 7-0 at the weekend but they were also soundly beaten by Corinthian Casuals 3-0 last Tuesday. No wonder they want a breather.

Fair play to Brightlingsea Regent. They took on the 140-mile round trip for a midweek defeat at Cheshunt last night.
