Strange old game. For an hour we were excellent. Unfortunately the same old failings were there. Missing chances. Poor final ball. Poor decision making. We always needed the second goal. Kingstonian got stronger as the game went on & deserved their point. One annoying thing that many in the crowd picked up on at the time. There we were with a few minutes to go & the lads trying to concentrate on the job in hand & the raffle tickets numbers came booming out for the third time. Coincidence they equalised at that exact time? Who knows. How about waiting for a break in play in future? On the plus side a great atmosphere & another terrific crowd.

Agree that we played well for 60 odd minutes but did miss chances as you say. Its no coincidence that we went off the boil not too long after Brook Harrison had to go off. Since his introduction to the team, he has had a very big influence on our midfield with his work rate and passing skills. Not an excuse but for me, a fact. They came on strong in the last 15 minutes and we couldnt retain the ball, constantly conceding possession which they took advantage of. It was an excellent crowd and not to have given the majority of them a win was disappointing.

All said really in the above statements. For an hour the better team. Tolfrey made several good saves and we were unable to increase our lead. I felt the game changes when Harrison went off. His speed was a constant threat. Yet again an unforced error gave the ball away in no mans land gave Kingstonian the equaliser. In the end hanging on for a draw and the woodwork saved us on a couple of times!! Overall a fair; but disappointing final score. Again a great crowd of just under the 1000 mark to enjoy the game

Whilst I appreciate the comments made re the injury to Harrison I think the problem was a lot more than his absence. Early in the second half it was apparent that we had completely lost the midfield which was the opposite to the first half when we closed them down effectively high up the pitch with lots of energy & should have been three up at half time. Second half & we were outplayed in the middle & dropped deeper & deeper until it was just a matter of time before they scored. Meanwhile whoever decides on substitutes once again waited until it was too late when in my view a double substitution was needed much earlier to try & get some control back with fresh legs etc. Of course it might not have worked but I thought it was obvious something needed to be changed before the inevitable happened. Apologies for the criticism but felt it had to be said!

Agree with you, mistral, but I would go further and say it was nothing to do with Harrison going off. I don't like to criticise individual players but I would like Harrison to stop passing back so much, be braver in attack, and have a go at goal more. He was doing this in the last 2 or 3 matches but seems to have reverted somewhat. Whilst Kayne is a good, energetic, attacking player, we were under continual pressure on that side of the pitch when he came on and that is where the goal came from. I would have brought Ethan on to bolster the mid-field ideally before but even after the change. Easy to say in hindsight, I know.
