This Tuesday sees Bowers & Pitsea back at the lane for our re-arranged league game. Since our narrow trophy victory over them 2 weeks ago they have played just one game, a 4.2 defeat away to Haringay Borough. At the present time they are sitting just above the relegation pisitions in 19th place. Last season when we played them for the first time we suffered a 2.1 home defeat, whilst getting a 0.0 draw on the road. This season we celebrated a 1.0 victory just 2 weeks ago so as results show the games are always tight affairs. Another 3 points would leave us on the edge of the play-off positions so fingers crossed our recent run of good form continues!!!

I do not believe this. What has our country come to. Why can't the police just forcibly hoick these people off our roads?
I think I know the answer - human rights etc and fear of upsetting the 'woke' brigade.

This is the same lot who threw some liquid over Van Gogh's "Sunflowers" painting last weekend.
The irony of the last two days is that, by protesting how they did, the Just Stop Oil idiots caused drivers to use more fuel up by disrupting them and keeping them motionless with their engines on.
A similarly alienating and fuel-guzzling tactic to last year, when Insulate Britain had people superglue themselves to five parts of the M25 on the same day.
They may have a point but, by targeting ordinary drivers rather than politicians with their actions (including halting a Greed League match at Everton by someone tieing themself to a goalpost), they lose sympathy for their cause.
Lucky for them that being boiled in oil as a punishment was ruled out centuries ago!

Is there anything stopping the club from contacting juststopoil.org and making initial proceedings for compensation for money spent / lost on matchday programmes, food etc. through a small claims court or whatever it's called these days?

I've seen a few people make the same point - if it was football supporters closing roads and causing this disruption the cops would be straight in with batons and they'd all be swiftly jailed for six months!

I don't see any justifiable reason for closing the bridge by doing that & causing chaos it will simply encourage more of the same. Should have just ignored them & kept the bridge open, they would then realise it was futile & come down.
