Please be advised that away match at Brightlingsea will now be played on 20th December with an 8-00pm kick-off. I know it is not ideal but with our advancement in the FA Trophy and World cup matches being played we had no option.

Didn't realise Bognor were in the World Cup๐ค๐ค๐ค Really can't see too many fans going 5 days before Christmas.

Wouldn't have thought the players will be too keen either.

I dont think anyone is going to be impressed to be honest. We are guided by the League rules when rearranging games. There is a window set by the league for postponed games and generally these have to be adheered to.

Peter you do the bookings of rearranged games so it is upto you. Just saying a midweek game 3 1/2 hour drive just 5 days before Christmas I think a few of the fans won't be making that game. Especially as Goldy says Hornchurch away the Saturday before.

If we need to play this game before the end of the year , why are we not playing on Friday 23rd . We are not playing on Saturday 24th not sure why :-) . It helps every one to play on the Friday, players and fans etc.

Please do not have a go at Peter over this rearranged date.
It is down to me as I spent many hours yesterday negotiating with both Brightlingsea and the Isthmian League over the date. With the World Cup fixtures to take into account, Brightlingsea's availability and our own many rearranged matches over the November and December period there was no other option other than the 20th December. We really wanted to leave it until January but there is a League rule that a rearranged match must be scheduled within 42 days of the original date, and as December 20th was available we had no choice but to accept it.
Obviously it is an unattractive date but I feel for Brightlingsea who will probably attract a poor home gate on the evening. We would have to go on a midweek night whenever the match is re-scheduled for. Thanks to Brightlingsea for agreeing to an 8.00pm kick off.
As of this morning I confirm that our home match v. Bishop's Stortford will be played on Tuesday 10th January, with a 7.45pm kick off.

Especially as Goldy says Hornchurch away the Saturday before. Just a quick final post on this. Yes l do do the booking for re-arranged matches. I think if you read my posts on this thread you will realise that l wasnt happy to have to post the date of Brightlungsea. Its just that we had no other option. Youve kindly set the record straight that l do them but you have no idea why its happened. Its quite belittling to be honest. Ive explained the position but you arent happy. Fine with that. You and many others. But l am also responsible and know that if l dont do it in the alloted time the club gets fined and l carry the responsiblity. Your remarks really show that you have no reality with the rules of the competition we work under. Maybe you should read them before you try nailing me to the mast.

Peter I acknowledged you do the bookings and I do fully unferstand the logistics. If you read my post properly I just stated that 3 days after Hornchurch away, and 5 days before Christmas we won't get many fans there. This was not having a go at you it was a general observation. The World Cup is annoyingly affecting all levels of football, which shows the patheticness for having a World Cup at this time of the year. Please don't start attacking people when you don't read the post properly!! Many thanks also for Simon fully explaining the situation.

Read the first line of your post which you have obviously left out in your post in reply. That was damning of me as far as Im concerned, so it was you that attacked me. Do you, with your inference, consider that I took any satisfaction of arranging a fixture on the last Tuesday before Xmas? Stick to what you do very well and leave others to do their job. I dont think it shows us in a good light frankly when making comments in public

Peter your comment above put the blame on the World Cup not me, Like you said a petty arguement in public does not show us in the right light. This will be my last comment on the matter if you want to talk to me further we can talk at the ground !!
