Things don't get any easier for the Rocks as on Saturday they travel to the Spencer Stadium, Station Approach, Banbury OX165TA to play National League North side Banbury United.
Banbury, or the Puritans as they are known by are enjoying a great debut campaign in the National League North lying in 8th place, just outside the playoffs with 32 points out of 21 games. Their home form has been superb with just 1 defeat back in October when they lost 1.0 against Kidderminster Harriers, however they lost last time out 2.1 away to Telford United. Banbury also lost 2.1 in the FA Cup at Bracknell Town who are playing at the same level as ourselves. Saying that they thrashed Stowmarket Town 6.0 in the last round of the Trophy.
Expect a decent crowd on Saturday as the hosts have been averaging a home gate of 915 so far.
The club were formed in 1931 as Spencer Sports, renamed in 1933 as Banbury Spencer. After World War II the club turned professional and renamed again in 1965 to Banbury United following a change of ownership. After several years in the Southern League the club were promoted to the National league in 2021/22 season winning the Southern Premier Central Division.
To gain any result Bognor will need to return to their early season form. Fans are reminded that the ground is segregated. Lets hope we can get a result to help kick start a return to form.

With the Eastbourne Boro game to be rescheduled as a result. Frustrating as I was looking forwards to watching Bognor for £10 like in the good old days. Oh well, these things happen. Here's hoping we can give Horsham a decent game on Boxing Day!
