Sometimes the scoreline doesnβt reflect the game imo. Overall in the 90 Rocks gave just as good as they got against a team in a higher league. Big turning point was their triple substitutions by them, resulting in the number 11 (squad numbers) scoring two in five minutes. Rocks continued to press and at times played of our best attacking play Iβve seen this season at least.
Wont criticise anything,as I always think the cup/trophy against higher opposition is a free hit.
Fingers crossed that attacking play, turns up on Boxing Day.
Well done to all those that travelled last night ππ½ππ½π«‘π«‘

Despite the heading, the score was 4-3 !!
Agree totally with Goldy in as much as at times we looked like the National League side! Unfortunately despite scoring three excellent goals some poor defending undid all of our good work.
I heard some grumbling from a supporter last night at our lack of options on the bench. I would prefer to congratulate the team for such a positive and impressive performance in a really challenging situation. We had four regular players injured or ill, one suspended and two cup tied. Those who were drafted in did superbly and it was great to see young Joe Briffa do so well when he came on. Special thanks also to Leon Baker who came in at just a few hours notice and turned in an impressive performance.
There is no doubt that there is a real never-say-die attitude in the team. Even when we went 3-1 down we fought and so nearly got what would have been a just reward. When the players left the clubhouse after a quick bite to eat after the match, the home supporters all stood and gave them a standing ovation - something I have never experienced before.
Also agree with Goldy - thanks so much to all the supporters who travelled last night and who had to put up with the unnecessary segregation. It was nice to see Jack go around towards the end of the match to thank the supporters for their support.
Onwards to Boxing Day!!

Wasn't at the game due to illness but listened with intent to a superb radio commentary. After the debacle at Folkestone; and when I saw our starting line up I have to admit I feared the worse. However, what came over the from the commentary and having spoken to some of the travelling fans it would seem that the team covered themselves with glory. Lets hope we can replicate the same sort of performance on Boxing day. Onwards and upwards to an enyoyable 2nd half of the season.
Happy Christmas to all our fans and I look forward to seeing you at the Horsham game.

Was very tired on the way to work yesterday morning so sorry for the typo π Like you say shame about the segregation as they did seem a friendly bunch and a unique ground.
