A 2-1 Away win. I wasnt there but listened to the two Petes on Rocks Radio. It seems with some better luck and a little bit more precision, we may have won by 5 or 6, having had 3 shots hit the woodwork, a couple kicked off the line and one disallowed that maybe should have counted. Never mind that, 3 points gained and two home heague games to come. Sounded like a very good team game, good spirit within the squad and good fitness levels after 3 weeks of no football.

With the exception of having to endure what have to be the most uncomfortable seats in the world, it was a pleasure to be at that match. We certainly could have scored more and for me Joe Rabbetts was Mr. Immense. Whatever has been said to the players over the last few weeks has had an effect. I'm not getting too excited too quickly, but fingers crossed and with no more injuries, we might, just might be able to start turning the season around.

A wobbly first ten minutes where we could have been a couple down, but once we scored and even when they equalised I felt we were really in this game 👍
Walter had a half decent debit, Magri really solid. We competed hard against a big team, how their number 5 never got booked I’ll never know!! We took control hit the woodwork at least five times and tested their keeper on a number of occasions. Dan ran his socks off and Joe Rabbetts was outstanding 👏👏
Alfie and Pato showed exactly why they should be starting both immense when they came on, Alfie’s pinpoint cross and Pato’s brilliant header winning the game 👏👏
A really, really good performance after weeks of dross, we’ll done one and all 👍👍👍

Certainly agree with the comments about the Casuals no 5. He should have been booked at least, and with the amount of offences he committed probably sent off later. Poor Dan Gifford must be covered in bruises. For the last half an hour we totally ran them ragged down our left hand side. Joe, Isaac and Alfie were too sharp and quick for them. How their goal survived the goalmouth scrambles when we hit the woodwork so many times was incredible. Still lovely to see Matt get the winner from a lovely Alfie cross. A well deserved win by the much better side.

Without wishing to be negative, we huffed and puffed to win against a poor 20th place Casuals. There are going to be much bigger challenges in the next few weeks. Importantly, though, the win will have given the lads a much needed confidence boost. Well done!

I agree with all that’s been said already and would just add that:
(I) although we could and probably should have won by a hatful, we might also have been at least two goals down at the break, but for some dreadfully wild shooting by the Casuals front-men and a couple of superb saves from Killian.
(ii) yesterday’s display by the officials has to rank as the worst I’ve seen to date in a season in which the general standard of officiating - from Premier League to Step 5 - has been as poor as I can remember.
At this fixture last season, I saw the home skipper (correctly, if a little harshly) red-carded after he left the field of play to take a quick pee and re-entered the pitch without permission. Yesterday, you felt he’d have had to pull a knife for the ref to produce a yellow! Nor was the hapless official helped by his assistants, one of whom struggled to give a throw-in correctly and who made offside decisions from positions so far behind the play that he might as wel have watched the game from a seat in the stand.
Of course it’s far too easy (and oh so tempting) to pour scorn on the individuals concerned but I fear the problem goes deeper; that there’s something very wrong with the way we recruit, train, develop snd promote referees these days. (Or, to put it another way, PGMOL casts a long shadow and it’s small wonder we get such poor officiating at Step Three of the non-league game when Anthony Taylor and Stuart Attwell are considered the pick of the bunch at Premier League level.)
(iii) Finally - what a magnificent turn-out (again!) by the travelling Rocks supporters yesterday. The Green Army probably accounted for half the gate - and made all the noise. Offhand I can’t think of any other club,m at our level that consistently turns up to away games in such numbers. Well done to all concerned - not least the Supporters Club!

Don’t care about who’s where in the league. The was a decent away day following those Rocks. We actually looked like a team that knew each others weakness/strong points. Players playing in their strongest positions also helping that cause. We was threat from set pieces,we was a threat in normal play. If we didn’t hit the woodwork as many times as we did they scoreline wouldn’t have been any injustice to us.
No performance is perfect for 90 minutes. Great to see Sam Magri and Walter Fig fit in very well. Pato finally SCORING in the league 👏🏽 Killian superb between the sticks,I feel more comfortable with him being between the goalposts.
Free hit in the week, away to eastbourne Borough, let’s go get another win on Saturday at home.
Up The Rocks.
