Bognor look to bounce back from a disappointing performance against on Monday as they take on out of form Kingstonian at the Lane. At present the 'K's lie bottom of the form guide and just in the relegation places. Their form since a New Year's day victory has seen 6 defeats in the last 7 played; including a recent 4.1 thrashing by Combined Counties team Raynes Park Vale in the Surrey cup. Their poor form is illustrated by the facts they have scored the fewest amount of goals in the league (26) whilst having the 3rd worst defensive record having conceeded 62. The game back in September was spoilt by a poor over zealous ref who sent off debut boy Leon Britton as Rocks got a late goal to earn a 2.2 draw. Hopefully we can keep all 11 on the pitch for this game and secure 3 points

Their situation was not helped by another loss on Wednesday; 3-0 at home to Hastings.

After a disappointing performance on Monday I fully expect the lads to raise their game and go on and win this one.
We’ve got a strong squad and fully expect some changes to freshen things up 👍

Robbie knows who he wants to start. Im happy to leave that to him,

Both have been carrying injuries and we played two games in 3 days on all weather pitches. Robbie spoke to both players about this and both understood why he was concerned that by playing on these pitches there was a very good chance of aggrevating their injuries. That was why they didnt play.

Where would we be without Nathan? It was his wicked shot that forced Tolfrey into a flying save, giving Dan the chance to head into an empty net. And it was Nathan's instinct that got us the second. Will he still be with us next season?
What I couldn't understand was why Calvin and Josh were put into the starting line-up when both were obviously rusty after time out. Walter and Issac added a lot more punch when they came on.
Also worth adding that it was Harvey's excellent header which, again, forced a flying one-handed save from Tolfrey and gave Nathan the scoring opportunity.

Overall a thoroughly disappointing performance. The midfield was totally inept for most of the game which illustrated the difference Walter has made to the team since his arrival. I don't know if he was carrying an injury & therefore didn't start, if not a ludicrous decision which seriously backfired by starting someone who was clearly some way from full match fitness. When Walter was eventually allowed on we saw probably the best pass of the match when he sent a diagonal cross right to the feet of Joe who was unmarked on the far side of the penalty box. It must have been a frustrating afternoon for Nathan & Dan Gifford but their perseverance at least gave us something to cheer. Definitely a game to forget and credit to the opposition for their effective high press.

K’s having a new manager felt like we got the new manager bounce against us. I personally feel like they was at carshalton Monday and realised as a team we let Joe attack (not a criticism) but does leave us exposed especially if the left of the midfield isn’t covering (again not a dig at Sam ) who played that role yesterday. So they overloading that side when attacking.
One of those days yesterday and getting to that stage of the season where clubs are coming here and needing 3 points. That’s a massive win for K’s. Walter I understand hasn’t played a lot of football before signing for Rocks,so maybe a rest is what he needs. What’s frustrating is we can’t keep a clean sheet.
Good crowd down the lane yesterday, felt more than what was announced (not a dig) dust ourselves off and have the tough task of Hornchurch (a) tuesday. Free hit,if we take anything from the game then superb.
Anyway Up The Rocks. 💚

Yes, it was very disappointing for us all yesterday. In nonleague football especially, you accept there will be off days but that was a double off-day for us. Can't think of a worse performance for ages to be honest. Fair play to Kingstonian. They are fighting against relegation and came to the lane on the back of 5 defeats and no goals for. They deserved their win yesterday and boy, didnt their band of supporters celebrate it. It's a real test for us away at Hornchurch who are chasing Stortford for the No. 1 spot. Let's hope our lads were stung by yesterday's result and go there and have a real go. Then it on to Saturday against another team on the fringes of relegation.

Awful performance 😞 looked as if we had never played together before!! Work rate was poor from back to front, imho only young Dan showed up and then Walter when he came on. Same as Monday I’m afraid we lacked strength, height and power.
Two really difficult games to come now, fingers crossed Robbie will get the lads back on track 👍
