Still no clean sheet, controversial 1st goal, fluke 6th goal possibly, brilliant football movement 4th and 5th goals, and a better conceded.a game to warm the cockles on a cold and sleety Tuesday night.the gulf in class of the 2 sides was evident fairly early and it was a bit surprising that it took 27mins to open the scoring after a combination of woodwork, blocks and saves had kept us out but you have to say they were rightly upset as Nathan hooked the ball back from well behind the byline for Dan to turn and score.it was clearly out by a fair way and shouldve been a goal kick however you should always play to the whistle.after that it continued to be one way traffic with Nathan adding the 2nd from close in.we possibly shouldve had a penalty when robbo looked to have been brought down in the box following a set piece.the 3rd came just after the hour mark when a defender turned Isaacs cross into his own net.the game finished with 4 goals in the last 15mins,josh calmly finishing 2 superb 0ne touch moves for the 4th and 5th before Calvin looked to cross from the right but found th top corner of the far post instead.bexhill to their credit never gave up and were rewarded in the last couple of mins with a cracking long range effort to destroy a rare clean sheet.overall a great performance which hopefully restores some confidence ahead of a tough game Saturday before 2 long away games to sides languishing at the bottom of the table.onto the semi now ahead of another potential trip to the Amex.COYR

Thought it was generally a better performance but Be hill were really not all that. Our passing game eventually got the better of them, but think if they had scored first half when they missed an absolute sitter thanks to poor defending it may have proved more difficult!
That said some good goals and we delivered better crosses and corners 😊👍 Looking forward to Saturday 👍👍

Nice to get a win, and get the goalscoring back on track….but still have the same problems!!
Picking the wrong pass and losing possession Overhitting simple passes Not moving the ball quickly enough
But my biggest issue… is a keeper that comes out 30 -40 yards from his goal. With the way we lose the ball in midfield… I can see a few long range shots into an empty goal happening. And there are plenty of players in our league quite capable of doing it.
