For those who may be traveling to Brightlingsea, I have had a message from their secretary stating the pitch fine and no inspection is planned. Keep your eye on the weather forecast.

Funny old game. 2-0 up after 6 minutes, 3-0 after 27 and 4-0 @ the final whistle, and Worthing let in 7 at Ebbsfleet. Who'd of thought?

As Peter says its nice that we have stopped our losing run. We need to build on that over the next few games when hopefully we should pick up more points to ensure we are not dragged into a relegation quagmire although Herne Bay on Saturday will not be easy after the confidence of a victory last night. As per our luck this season yet another bad injury and my thoughts are with young Issaac hopefully he will be back soon. Finally full credit to the 20 odd fans that made that horrible journey on a Tuesday night and to the rocks radio team who were superb again. Onwards and upwards !!! COYR's

On a slick surface and cold evening not helped by 3 players and management not arriving til just before kick off,and patto taking the warm up it was great to see us come out of the blocks so quickly.sam won the ball in midfield and fed Dan who finished with aplomb to give us the perfect start.within 3 or 4 mins it was 2 when Sam either cutely deflected a Nathan Cross come shot in or it just hit him but either way we weren't complaining.immediately their defence started arguing with each other.dan then had a stonewall penalty claim turned down as we threatened to run riot.a fabulous run and finish from Nathan had us 3up within half hour.both keepers then made superb saves to keep it at 3 going into the break.2nd half continued with us on the front foot before matt made a stunning save low to his right from a Calvin deflected shot.the 4th came courtesy of Nathan kneeling it in although Web pages said it was an own goal.this was so much more like the rocks we know and love and should ensure we now avoid relegation and an play with freedom.the clean sheet is also very welcome.to a man the players were superb but I feel Joe briffa deserves special mention as for such a young man he belied his age and was calm and collected throughout.onto saturday and a chance to continue where we left off here.COYR

The radio coverage was amazing!! Well done guys at stopping the rot, four goals away from home is exceptional 👏👏
Now onto Herne Bay who also had a fantastic result last night, should be a cracker 😊👍

Thes no doubt about it, with Isaacs's injury, which we all hope isn't too bad, Injuries have been a prominent factor in our season this season. Im not sure if it's just bad luck or whatever it is, but we seem to have been awfully unlucky with it and it has certainly had a real influence on results in having to change lineups more times than enough.
I think someone touched on last night's results in nonleague. Stortford lost a second game in a row, this time at home, Horsham losing to bottom of the league Herne Bay 3-0 and dare I say it, Worthings 7-2 loss at Ebbsfleet. Worthing certainly have been involved in a number of high-scoring games. Poor old Gosport having to travel all the way to Plymouth Parkway and I think its only about a week or so that they were traveling down to Truro too. We are not alone in the traveling situation. Mostly all the games that were postponed for one reason or another were Saturday matches involving long journeys in mid week. And the Premier clubs moan about too many matches in every 7 days!

Just a quick intervention before anyone picks up my mistake. Stortford drew scoring just after I had last looked at latest scores!
