Seems very quiet on this Forum recently no fans match reports or info. Is there something happening fans are not aware of?

Was thinking the same. Even if it was one to forget, not even a mention on here of last Saturday’s game or anything.

Quietest I've ever known it. It's busier than this in the close season! I suppose it sums up the club at the moment ie mid table mediocrity with everyone looking forward to next season. Will Robbie still be here though?
And of course we'll soon be discussing whether the club will be asked to play in the Southern League Premier next campaign. Switching to a different league hasn't done Pagham FC any favours as they struggle to stay in the Wessex Premier.

As it's very quiet, I would like to ask if the rumours about wanting to have an artificial surface are true? If so how would it be financed, is there some sort of grant available etc. Also not sure if the Bognor area could support a variety of events in sufficient numbers to make such a transition viable. Would be great to hear opinions on this subject.

My home town club, Ashford Town (Middlesex), are installing a 3G pitch next season (although everyone knows within the club, it hasn't been officially announced, so you haven't seen me, right?). Just in time for our dip into the Combined Counties if things carry on as recently!
The local borough, who refused to allow Ashford to have club colour tangerine seats ("not aesthetically pleasing") and made the club move the pitch 11 yards away from houses behind one end to accommodate local residents when floodlights were installed, are now bending over backwards allowing Ashford to get an artificial pitch as it helps them out - the borough is currently below an apparent minimum level of artifical recreational pitches stipulated by the government.
The new pitch is going to cost about £1 million and, from memory, I was told grants were obtained from both the Premier League and the FA Grassroots system. That still left a gap of about £200,000 which is hopefully being met through sponsorship otherwise the chairman will have to fund the balance, though I'd expect him to recoup funds when the pitch is hired out.
The pitch will have to be evaluated each season and meet stringent tests. Hopefully it'll do better than Ashford United, whose pitch had to be relaid when it was discovered the protective layers below the surface and above the conrcrete were too thin, and Harlow Town, who've resigned every team of theirs from the league they play in this season because their pitch has become completely inadequate.
At least Ashford still have a pitch. Our prick of an MP (former economy screw-upper Kwasi Kwarteng... aren't we lucky?) co-commissioned a report recommending Ashford's ground be built over by the third Heathrow runway!

Would they move back to Sussex (SCFL) and Selsey go the other way (Wessex)?

'Lap of the Gods' stuff. The FA move in head-scratching ways.
There have been several instances regarding teams' allocations in the pyramid whereby a club's travelled past 'local derby' grounds in one step 5/6 league to play a team further away in a completely different league which would be closer for the rivals they've driven past!

Just to add some noise ... My son, Jack, got awarded young citizen of the year last night by the mayor for his litter picking at the lane over the last few years! Not massive news, but good news!
