A game of two half’s today. First half thought we were all over the place with Billericay totally dominating, somehow we got to half time without conceding.
Second half was so much better. Introduction of Pato and Alfie suddenly gave us strength and movement going forward, Billericay although taking the lead were on the back foot. So unlucky not to get anything from the game the Billericay keeper had a couple of great saves and Alfie should have equalised after great play by Nathan and Pato but unfortunately put it over bar.
Dan hobbled off looking in great discomfort, hope he is ok 👍 Billericay were another experienced, big, strong team. This league is full of them, I applaud the efforts of our young team but we also need to strengthen in the summer 👍

Would have been a surprise if Billericay had played any differently! "Professional niggling" with a weak referee, however against teams like that it is necessary to be able to compete physically before the skilled footie can pay off. Despite that credit to the players for not being intimidated by a much bigger team & thought we were very unlucky to lose. Interesting that although it's nearing the end of the season with nothing to play for as such, over 500 attendance so imagine how that would increase if we were in contention for the play-offs, probably 700 plus which means extra revenue for signing players. However appreciate it is still a gamble as more expensive players doesn't necessarily mean better results. Difficult decisions ahead so pleased I don't have to make them!!

I'm afraid a typical end of season game with neither side having anything to lose or gain as we are both stuck in a mid tanle position. Unfortunately it took us 55 minutes to get going and after that we were by far the better side and probably deserved a draw. However our achillies heel of not putting chances away continued. I have seen 90% of the games this season and nobody has really given us a lesson. The league is very even this season and with a little luck we could have been in the play offs. But lifes all about if's and buts and were not😥😥. The main thing till the end of the season imo is for the youngstersto continue to get experience and if we can keep the bulk of the squad, hopefully add a few new facesthen again imo we will be in a much better position next season😊

When we say youngsters are we meaning our own or loans? Bit disappointing not to see Joe or Tom make an appearance Saturday at some stage.
But it has been a good session for progression this season for some, hopefully this is the starting point for more of it.
