Well the league season eventually comes to an end. Following on from a excellent performance midweek v Brighton , a patched up team to the field and produced another fine performance. Folkestone started off fast and had a lot of the early play. The Bognor defence held firm under any pressure, Black and Robson were superb down the middle, whilst Rabbetts and Dockerillexcelled out wide.As the game progressed Bognor grew into the game, Gifford and Odonkonyero started creating space whilst the midfield od Macca, Bridgman and St De Croix probed away. A uperb counter attack produced a goal for Bognor , which was unfortunately disallowed on a tight offside decision. Bognor eventually took the lead on 45 minutes when Rowley picked out Bridgman on the wing, his speed and a quick one two saw Alfie slot home to give the Rocks a half time lead. 2nd half Folkestonehuffed and puffed but to little effect, and when they did break down the defnce Rowley was more than equal. With the game and the league season fizzling out, on 90 minutes Macca slotted home to give Bogor a healthy victory in what was very much a end of season game between two mid table teams !!!! The Rocks still have the County Cup Final to look forward to. Hopefully over the next few weeks, with a little rest the squad will be at full strength for the event. Now to watch a bit of cricket which hopefuly won't be so stressful

A great team performance, matching and bettering Folkestone all over the park with two good goals winning it.
Thought Robbo was outstanding and dominated the game with his strength and power, my MOTM.
Enjoyed the team applauding the fans at the end of the game 👏👏👏👏

I thought over the 90mins,this was probably our most dominant home performance of the season.shy of when folkestone hit the post, they rarely looked like scoring.sam was unlucky to have his header ruled out although he was definitely just offside but thought the one two played between Dan and Alfie for the 1st goal was a joy to behold.the 2nd was no less than we deserved.thought robbo was excellent but Joe was immense and deserving of his mom.most disappointing aspect of season for me is that only Canvey of the top 6 did the double over us which suggests to me that we grossly under performed over the course of the season even with a long list of injuries to hamper us.i fancy Canvey to join stortford in promotion now and look forward to us hopefully progressing next season.1 big sussex derby to go before then and hopefully regain our title of champions of sussex,we know what we are.COYR
