Another frustrating day on the road. Against high flying Billericay Bognor dictated for long periods yet come away with nothing. For over 50% of the first half Bognor were the better team, but then a defensive error and we are 1.0 down. 2nd half we came out fighting; the home keepermakes 3 superbsaves to deny us. Tommy-leigh Higgs fires Bognor level; then minutes later misses a good chance to win the game. As per our luck on the road we conceed the late goal to send the excellent Bognor Supporters home disappointed. Many many positives that we can take into Tuesday's cup match v Horsham YMCA.

No doubting we were unfortunate to come away empty handed,we will play far worse this season and win.billericay had only conceded 6 league goals all season yet we created numerous chances only to find their keeper in the way.we went behind against the run of play when a hoof from the back found keiran slipping allowing the striker to lob into an empty net after Ryan was left stranded.we continued to dictate the majority of possession throughout and deservedly equalised when Tommy hit a great free kick into the far corner for once leaving their keeper helpless.we continued to press for the winner leaving us occasionally exposed at the back and needing Ryan to make 2 superb saves but we're unable to hold on for the point at least our efforts deserved as they broke again quickly on the left and appeared to beat Ryan at his near post whether deflected or not I'm not sure.overall I think those that travelled were treated to a magnificent effort and performance which again just fell short as our lack of being clinical showed again.mather was a big loss and Dan Smith for all his hard work just needs to score a goal in any way shape or form to regain a bit of confidence.tommy showed good attitude once on and Joe briffa had a solid performance off the bench.a lot of positives going forward but we really need to win next week to stop us looking over our shoulder at the teams below us.onto a run of home games now where we have at least been strong.COYR

I've said it in a few places but the atmosphere yesterday was superb! I thought Ben Anderson had a great first half and was a shame he had to go off injured, no shade on Joe Briffa who was solid in the second half. Felt we missed Jasper for that bit of cutting edge but chatting to him it seemed it will be short term.
I understand some people being frustrated at the results but we are really not far from being a very good team. This group of players are young and have so much talent, if we stick to it think we will end the season a lot better than we have seen so far. Credit to everyone behind the goal - even with the result was a very entertaining afternoon.
