If - and I say if - we do stay in this division next season, it looks like a couple of the shorter trips (e.g. Kingstonian / possibly south Essex and north London) will be replaced by the return of a couple of 'hitchhike' yomps.
Dover Athletic have been relegated from National South and will surely join this division, and either Lowestoft Town or Felixstowe and Walton United look favourites for the Isthmian Division 1 North title, with Bury Town also high in the playoff mix.
Start saving those pennies!

Dover will no doubt join the Isthmian. But since the introduction of a fourth league at Step 3 a few years ago (Southern Central), Suffolk clubs promoted from the Isthmian North these days are usually then placed in the Southern Central premier, rather than Isthmian Premier, as was the case with Sudbury last season (placed alongside Leiston and Needham Market) so itβs very unlikely that there will be any trips to Lowestoft etc for us next season. We may also see Ramsgate promoted from the Isthmian South, but then we could also be getting a considerably shorter trip, with in-form Chichester looking likely to secure a play-off spot.

With relegated teams coming into the league for next season there must be a chance we could be moved sidewards into the Southern league. Havant for sure will go into the Southern league. Me being a sad so and so did a little experiment a couple of years ago and checked the mileage from Bognor to all the clubs in each division. We actually do about a 500 miles a year less in the Southern league. Personally I would love a change of leagues; different clubs; venues etc. Also no more M25 all the time!! Thoughts?

Thanks for that link. Would still prefer to be in the Southern league next season. With Stortford and Dover coming down even more long journeys and days spent on the bl**dy M25π‘π‘π‘

Put simply, the FA will obviously make their decision at the end of the season when promotion and relegation is known. Then the regionalisationwill com into play. We are right on the border so it will definately be interesting to see where we finish up.
